HummerHummer Terms and Conditions



A. DEPOSITS AND REMAINING BALANCES

1. A deposit is required in order to confirm a booking. The £100 deposit allows you to reserve a specific HummerHummer taking it off our live system and providing you with further time in order to make our standard 50% deposit booking terms. We require a further deposit making up to 50% within 30 days of putting down your £100 payment OR within 30 days of the hire date, whichever date is earliest.

2. Deposits paid (in person, mailed in or verbally phoned in using credit or debit cards) are NON REFUNDABLE once received by HummerHummer.

3. Remaining balances must be paid in full prior to pick up date on the booking form unless a cash, money order or account payment has been agreed with our office and in writing. Any Cash or Money Order payments must be paid to the Chauffeur at the time and place of the first collection (pick up) point.

4. We require payment to terms. Payment must be made on time, in full, and without any deduction, set off or counterclaim. In the event that an account is outstanding, we will refer the matter to our debt collection agents, Daniels Silverman Limited, which will incur costs. Any costs incurred to collect the debt will be added to the debt, plus VAT if applicable at the prevailing rate. You agree that you will be legally liable to pay us that surcharge, and that payment of the same can be enforced against you in court. You also agree to pay interest at the relevant reference rate provided for under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, which interest is payable both after and before any judgment of the court and continues to accrue.

 

B. GRACE PERIOD

1. A thirty (30) Minute grace period shall be established for late arrival of your Limousine due to weather, accident or any other misfortune. We will endeavour to make your time up.

 

C. OVERTIME

1. Any overtime after the booked time will be charged in half hour (½) increments as priced from our Rate Card on the booking date. 2. If the contract is paid by credit/debit card or HummerHummer hold a credit/debit card number on file for that client, the client authorises us to charge that card for the costs in C.1 above.

 

D. DAMAGES TO LIMOUSINE


1. The client who books the limousine will be responsible for the conduct of all the members of their party. Any damages to the limousine or to its fixtures caused by the client, a member of their party or by inciting others shall incur a two hundred and fifty pounds (£250) ‘enforced downtime’ charge in the addition to the cost of the repairs and the loss of booked business whilst these repairs take place. A two hundred and fifty pounds (£250) ‘sick’ fee shall be charged if the client or a member of their party is sick inside the Limousine plus the hourly cost of returning the Limousine to our premises for valeting, charged at Fifty pounds (£50) per hour.

2. If the contract is paid by credit/debit card or HummerHummer hold a credit/debit card number on file for that client, the client authorises us to charge that card for the costs in D.1 above.

 

E. CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Cancellations are only accepted in writing via recorded delivery to our trading address 186 Acton Lane, Park Royal, London, NW10 7NH. Cancellations must be received by us no later than 30 days prior to the hire date. Wedding cancellations must be received in writing by us no later than 90 days prior to hire. Cancellations for Royal Ascot or any other ‘high demand’ event are not accepted. If your invoice number starts with the letters ‘HD’ then this rule is in force for your booking.

2. The chauffeur may terminate your booking if the client or any member of their party causes excessive delays, are disorderly or, in the chauffeur’s judgement, are unfit to travel, with no compensation made to the client.

3. In the unlikely event that we are unable to complete a booking due to circumstances beyond our control, a full refund will be given. Beyond this we are not liable for any additional costs incurred or the loss of any monies paid by the client or party for tickets etc for the event they are travelling to.

4. The contract will be cancelled for any violations of terms A, and or D. above with no compensation made to the client.

5. If a cancellation letter is not received by us no later than 30 days, if the contract is paid by credit/debit card or HummerHummer hold a credit/debit card number on file for that client, the client authorises us to charge that card for the full cost of hire before the pickup date. If we are not able to make a transaction on the specific card provided by you the client HummerHummer will send you a notice of delayed payment before taking action to recover debts through our specialised debt collection agency.

 

F. DELAYS

Although HummerHummer will endeavour to meet all deadlines, we accept no responsibility for delay however caused.

 

G. AIRPORT JOURNEYS

1. The amount of passengers and suitcases will be determined at the time of booking and must not be exceeded due to weight and space restrictions.

2. Charges for airport collections include the first 30 minutes wait after the flight has landed and any additional time will be charged at the overtime rate stated in C. above.

3. Excessive delays may forfeit your return journey as other bookings may have been taken for that Limousine on that day. You must call our office at the first instance from your departure airport to confirm details. Rerouted flights may not be able to be met by us and additional charges may be charged to the client. We suggest you check with your travel insurance company to see if you are covered for these costs.

 

H. ACCESS

HummerHummer accept no responsibility for restricted vehicle access (hump back bridges, width restrictions etc) at any location and not liable for delays caused by rerouted journeys.

 

J. CONSIDERATION

1. If you are booking for passengers under the age of 16, we request an adult to supervise the passengers at all times.

2. From 1 July 2007 it is against the law to smoke in limousines in the UK, passengers are strictly not permitted to smoke in the limousine. Journeys may stop for a cigarette break if pre-arranged with the office or chauffeur before the journey takes place under the condition there is a safe and available place to do so.

3. The consumption of food, food products and such like is NOT permitted in the vehicle unless pre-arranged at time of booking and with express permission of HummerHummer.

4. Any extra requests or alterations to the booking, i.e. additional pick up points, change of venue causing extra mileage or time, not made at the time of booking/ confirmation cannot necessarily be entertained, although every effort will be made to meet these requirements.



K. SEATBELTS

Passengers in forward facing seats are required by law to wear seatbelts and for your safety we advise the wearing of seatbelts by all passengers. Baby Seats should be used in forward facing seats only.

 

L. BREAKDOWN

Our vehicles are serviced and maintained to the highest levels however in the unfortunate event of breakdown HummerHummer cannot be held responsible. With regards to appliances in the vehicles, these are provided for your added luxury free of charge, there are situations from time to time whereby the appliances are damaged from clients using the vehicle previous to you, on this basis we cannot guarantee all devices to function correctly although we will endeavour to fix them as soon as damage has become evident and we get an allotted time to have them fixed by our specialist car audio supplier. Should the unlikely event of the limousine being involved in any traffic or vehicle incidents and following advice from the authorities that the limousine can no longer carry on its journey, we will endeavour to arranged alternative transport for the party as soon as we are aware of the incident in question. Should the party decides to make their own transport arrangements without our help, we cannot be held responsible in any way for the cost of their return however we will refund the difference between the cost of the return journey and the customer’s transport costs to the maximum value of £100.

 

M. VIP ENTRY / GUEST LIST

HummerHummer cannot guarantee entry into any particular nightclub/venue. The management of the club/venue booked, reserve the right to refuse entry, and or implement an entry charge. It is the clients responsibility to adhere to the 'clubs' dress, conduct and entry rules. Terms and conditions of entry should be obtained by the client, prior to their arrival.


N. BOOKING DETAILS

1. By signing and returning the booking form The Hirer has entered into a binding contract with HummerHummer. HummerHummer operates on a dry hire basis. The hirer is responsible for booking a driver/ chauffeur separately to the booking. HummerHummer can recommend drivers on your behalf although it will be The Hirer's responsibility to pay the self employed driver as a separate transaction listed within the booking details.

2. HummerHummer are a direct company with our own vehicles, this gives you peace of mind when requesting a specific limousine from us, in the unlikely event your specific limousine becomes out of service we will always endeavour to replace your limousine with another genuine HummerHummer.

3. Please pay particular attention to the duration of hire field in your booking details. If your booking details state ‘return journey’ bear in mind this hire policy does not provide you with the vehicle in between the pickup time and return time as more than one client can be serviced on the same day or night with the same limousine. If you require the limousine exclusively for your party for block duration of time you will need to request ‘exclusive use hire’ and pay the according rate. If you are valid for exclusive use hire it will state ‘exclusive use hire’ on the duration of hire field in your booking details.

4. If you The Hirer have not provided full booking details at the time of booking HummerHummer will mark ‘TBC’ on the specific areas you have not been able to provide. HummerHummer will require confirmed details whether it is pickup time, return time, destination address or other details within 7 days of making your booking. If you do not provide the confirmed details within this time it may jeopardise your booking requirements due to other bookings made.

5. Pre-arranged times of return journeys must be adhered to. In the event that the hirer requests an earlier pickup time on the night, we will make every effort to get to the hirer allowing times for other pre-arranged jobs to be completed on the night. Should the hirer not be contactable for a maximum period of 1 hour, we will not be held responsible and will assume that the hirer no longer requires the return journey to be made and no refund will be made on this occasion. Under no circumstances will we allow any return journeys to be made for a third party pretending to have been within the hirer’s party without prior authorisation from the hirer himself.
