As Summer time is in full swing the UK music scene braces itself for music festival season with over 100 music festivals covering Dance and electronic music, pop, Rock and Indie with an ever increasing supply of mini cross genre festivals taking place within the London region.

Travel companies and festival organisers will plan around the music festivals way in advance in order to ensure demand for cars, coaches, limousines and public transport meet demand for festival revellers.  We always urge you to check public transport links and traffic reports before you set off, you wouldnt want to replace a euphoric live music stage of thousands of screaming fans for being squashed up in a car playing over the same CD for six hours now would you?  Kids also break up for school now so we have also included a relatively new under 18 festival which is starting to gain in popularity.  News has it ‘cashless festivals’ are going to be the next big thing, no not free festivals unfortunately  but putting new digital technology into practice allowing festival goers the chance to pay for everything digitally rather than with cash.  New technology will provide lots of exciting new opportunities for music fans to interact with their favourite bands, buy food and drink without the need for cash saving fans time on quering, reduces theft and for the festival organisers it will reduce admission fraud….all in all if the new technology has a complete back up system we think its a great idea!

- V Festival @ Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Saturday 21st – Sunday 22nd August 10

Acts headlining are Kings of Leon, Kasabian, Stereophonics, Faithless, Prodigy, David Guetta,  Doves, Calvin Harris, The Kooks, Paul Weller, Paolo Nutini, Florence And The Machine, Pet Shop Boys, Cheryl Cole, La Roux, Plan B, Sugababes, Pixie Lott and many more mainstream acts.

- Creamfields 2010 Dance music festival @ Daresbury Estate, Halton, Cheshire on Saturday 28th – Sunday 29th August 10

 Headlining the event will be David Guetta and Tiёsto, other major acts include Deadmau5, Leftfield, Calvin Harris, Paul van Dyk, Swedish House Mafia, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell with ED-IT, Eric Prydz, Sasha, Laidback Luke, Crookers, Erol Alkan, James Zabiela, Pete Tong and Judge Jules.

- Underage music Festival @ Victoria Park, Hackney, London on Sunday 1st August 2010 (admission strictly 14-18 years of age).

Acts confirmed include M.I.A., Annie Mac Presents, Tinchy Stryder, Chiddy bang, Tinie Tempah, Caspa Feat. Mc Rod Azlan, Ellie Goulding, Egyptian Hip Hop, Daisy Dares You, Gold Panda, Hadouken!, Lightspeed Champion, Crystal Castles, Everything Everything and The Courteeners.

In five years HummerHummer has seen its fair share of Hummer vehicles, blinged up wheels, outdoor promo campaigns and Birthday celebrations, Saturday 26th June was its own turn to celebrate a landmark Birthday.

Rewind five years and HummerHummer launched in the swanky Arcadian area of Birmingham, Sobar followed by Max Power Live event @ NEC on the following day.  Back then the new start up company had just one standard size Hummer H2, one of the first Hummer vehicles for hire in the UK.  Five years on and the event showed all the hallmark signs of the companies innovative thinking and progression within the limousine industry.  With three Stretch Hummer limousines reserved for the anniversary party, its guest list were welcomed to a complimentary London cruise whilst the in-car DJ mixed up a storm inside the 30 foot Hummer.

The event took place at the award winning JuJu Lounge, London owned by former Leeds footballer Lee Chapman and wife Leslie Ash on Saturday 26^th June.  Paris Hiltons official UK DJ Fenton Gee was drafted in to play back to back the in-car DJs.  The party was strict RSVP and was a way to say thank you to all of the people who have helped grow the brand to where it is today…the UK’s biggest Hummer limousine service.  Most notably, Pixie Lott made an appearance after coming from watching Stevie Wonder at the Hard Rock calling in Hyde park.

The Hummer brand has always created mass urban appeal, looking back from when the Hummer H2 first came into production in the US in 2003 it instantly became the must have vehicle to have in a celebrities posession taking less than two years to infiltrate the world wide export market and create a cult audience in which it still serves today.

The Hummer is iconic with blinged out American rap stars although the appeal does not stop there, here are a list of some of the celebrities ride you may not have been aware of…..

David Beckham

With a showroom of vehicles around the world totalling over £1 million David commented his young Son Brooklyns favourite is the Hummer, he even purchased a small scale electric Hummer buggy for Brooklyn to drive around the garden on.

Paris Hilton

It is reported in 2007, Paris had ordered a hybrid converted Hummer H2, it is good to see celebrities taking an important stance on the environment.  There are also options to convert Hummer vehicles onto LPG.  The conversion kits are much more robust now and create less issues with the engine system compared to older models.

James Cameron

After the Black Eyed Peas performed in the Live Earth Concert in 2007, Fergie decided to put her Hummer up for bid on eBay, after 53 bids, the Hummer sold for $64,199.91.  Rumour has it, the Hummer was sold to a limo hire company

Limousines have become an essential accessory to the school prom calender coming close to a young bachelor or bachelorettes outfit.  On this note it is quite surprising then that so many schools book their prom on the same date of the year as many others causing a shortage of limousines and novelty vehicles.

Year on year 25th, 26th June, 1st July, 2nd July and others have been overwhelmed with prom dates whereby limousine operators can be fully booked by January.  The majority of proms in the UK are held at the same time opening their venue doors at 7pm whereby limousines will pick up the prom girls and boys an hour before to provide a cruise around before taking them to the venue.  At this point you will see a convoy of limousines cueing up and arriving in front of proud parents and teachers taking photos as the kids get out of their vehicles.
